Wraps a la Sarah

As the boyfriend’s workplace does not get food delivered anymore, it is up to him to bring something to eat in his lunch break. As he is usually so busy he often forgets about it or sticks to very simple things like meatballs, fish filets, etc. But as eating somewhat properly is super important, even more if you are as busy as him, I thought I am a good girlfriend and make him some finger food, which is yummi but still (mostly) healthy, which he can take to work tomorrow.

Let me introduce you to my self-made salmon wraps:

You need:

  • 3-4 tortilla wraps
  • salmon
  • dill
  • lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • loose, fresh spinach
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • salt & pepper

Mix the mayo, the cream, the mustard with the lemon juice and stir until it is one liquid mass. Add the dill and salt and pepper.

Should you not like anything with mayo, try cream cheese instead. It works pretty good as well but I personally thing that especially the mayo/mustard combination gives the whole wrap its taste. Afterwards place about 1-2 tbsp of the sauce on top of one wrap and distribute it evenly but leave about 1cm space from the edge.

Add salmon and fresh spinach leaves to the wrap:

Roll up the wrap tightly and cut diagonally in the middle.

Two little tips:

  1. Make sure to not put too much filling into the wrap as it will just squeeze out somewhere and that does not look nice and also makes a mess (which you want to avoid with finger good – it is after all about eating without knife/fork.
  2. For parties try to cut the wrap (again: diagonally looks way nicer!) into pieces of about 3cm (two fingers) wide. It looks amazing and is so easy to make! For our purpose I stuck to cutting the wrap into two pieces as the boyfriend has to take them to work.
