30 Days Make Up Challenge – Day 21

21. Where to do you buy your make up?

The great thing about Copenhagen is that it offers every great store a capital should have. I am now therefore able to buy almost everything I want. Within the next year we will even have a Sephora store opening at Illum, which will be like heaven.

As Copenhagen is very expensive though I try to buy a lot of things over online stores or buy it when I am in Germany or on the way there (airport, ferry, etc.) as it is way cheaper as over here.

When I am in Germany one of my favorite stores is dm (a drugstore chain) and for some things also Douglas. Here in Copenhagen I enjoy Magasin and Illum as they have various make up counters. Online I buy where ever it is cheapest or at the according online store (i.e. MAC).

Sunday – Again and Again

Sorry for me being MIA. In the last 10 days the University of Copenhagen first had their freshmen intro days for the new students at the Department of Economics (20th and 21st of January), on the 22nd we had a tutor meeting to discuss the last last-minute things, and on Monday the 23rd we embarked to a five-day trip :) It was exciting, exhausting, and lots of fun – but now I am sick in bed due to a lack of sleep, cold temperatures, and just way too much things which have been going on. Good to be able to sleep in my own bed again.

30 Days Make Up Challenge – Day 20

20. Favorite base?

Until recently I have not used a base at all. Mainly because I am not the biggest user of eye shadow. This fall I started using the MAC Paint Pot “Bare Study” as a base for lighter tones.

And in my December glossy box I had the Zoeva base included and after a month of testing it I can say that I am also very happy with that one as it goes with pretty much every eye shadow.

30 Days Make Up Challenge – Day 19

19. Favorite concealer?

I have to different favorite ones depending on the usage. One is more liquid and one is more like a paste. My new all time favorite holy grail is the Studio Finish Concealer from MAC. It is easy to apply and matches my skin tone perfectly. This is the one I lately use the most.

Another favorite concealer of mine is the concealer from Mary K. It comes in a little tube and is already liquid before applying. The first tube it bought after a “Mary K party” when I was 16. I have repurchased several times afterwards. I like the tube as it has only a little opening and gives a quite “clean” feeling when it comes to the handling. It is also very easy to dose that way. The tube you can see below is still in the old design. The new tubes are all black but what is inside should be the same.

30 Days Make Up Challenge – Day 18

18. Favorite evening make up?

Usually my evening make up does not differ too much from my daily make up. Maybe a bit more with a red lip or something. But I like to keep it natural. I also have to admit that I am not a super user when it comes to applying make up so I think I have to be careful because it can quickly look “weird”. For me a good make up does look natural and you should not look too “made up”.
