30 Days Make Up Challenge – Day 6

6. Do you like fake lashes? If yes, single ones or stripes?

I do like fake lashes but I honestly have never tried them. I think they look great on models, photos, etc. and add a great dramatic effect but how they would look on me I do not know. Therefore I also do not have a preference for single ones or stripes. Though I got the impression that stripes are way more dramatic and also harder to apply than single ones. I think single ones you can use more widely, i.e. even at a not-so-special occasion were you still want to look great. This makes me want to try fake lashes now. And I think I will start with single ones.

Glossybox November & December Quick Review

I mentioned a couple of times before that I am a sucker for new products. What is better for me than the Glossybox? I admit that I love spending 10 Euro a month on getting a little present send home and am always excited when opening it.

As Glossybox is still not sending to Denmark (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change that soon) I am currently getting it send to my parents. This means that I am usually getting 2-4 boxes at a time as I am not home that often. The boxes from November and December were my first two ones and I am still in love.

Of course I would not have bought all of the products in the boxes myself. But I am really excited to try out a couple of them. For now I only took pictures of the two boxes including what they consisted of, but if I really enjoyed a certain product I am definitely keeping you up to date about it!

November Box:

Dr. Scheller calendula Handbalsam - Something I would have never bought myself, something I would not repurchase, and something I am not even going to try. I got my hand lotions which I am happy with.

Massage Bar Zartgefühl "aber bitte mit Sahne". A cute idea and something I have had before (only from Lush). Those massage bars are a really nice thing for a nice night (not alone). And they make a great present :)

RITUALS YOGI Flow gel douche extra moussant. I will try it just because I got it but it is nothing I would have bought myself. But who knows - maybe I really enjoy it?

Agnés B liner in metallic - also not a brand I would have purchased myself. But the liner looks nice and I like the color. So I will definitely give it a try.

I tried to catch the color and the glitter particles in it. No such luck though. I will tell you if they are visible on my eyes.

Susanne Kaufmann Moisturizing Mask - also nothing I would buy myself or would consider repurchasing. Though now I got it so I will try it.

 December Box:

AHACA Time to Hydrate Essential Day Moisturizer. A product I am not too excited about. I have a moisturizer which I am happy with. Not even sure if I will try this one.

Creme 21 Body Milk - Nice when going on a mini trip somewhere. Though I have tried this one before and would be more interested in the new special lotions they have, i.e. the shimmer one or the one for sensitive skin.

L'ORÉAL Paris Studio Secrets Professional Duo-Blush. My first "proper" product from the December box. It came in the original size and I cannot wait to try it. Really excited about this one.

I will see how conturing and blush work at the same time :)

L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Make-up Stick. The second original product in this box. I am not wearing that much make up but like the stick and will definitely try it.

Hope the color is not too dark but we will see.

ZOEVA Eye Primer - third original size product in the box.

Probably the product I am most excited about. I heard about it before and was tempted anyway. Now I can try it :)

I read a lot of reviews about the previous two boxes and I know that quite a few people complained. But honestly: you can never expect to have 5 great products everyone will love equally. There will always be something you prefer to something else. For my part: I was positively surprised by the upgrade from November to December and I hope Glossybox keeps up the good work and will surprise us even more by quality “trendy” products we all would love to try.

Russian Christmas at Tivoli

For the one’s who have never been in Copenhagen – Tivoli is the world’s oldest entertainment park located in the city center of Copenhagen right next to the city hall square. It is rather small (compared to American sizes) but way more traditional.

Depending on the season Tivoli is decorated accordingly. And around Christmas of course rather Christmassy. This year the theme was “Russisk Jul” which translates to Russian Christmas. It was not that different to last year except a few Russian themed houses. But it was nice as always (though compared to last year we were definitely missing the snow, see here).

But we will come again. Next year :)

Christmas Goodies

Here you can see the first few of my Christmas presents. I am not sure if I have mentioned it before but my parents are not big in celebrating Christmas anymore. We used to but by now we do not even have a tree at home. But that is okay as we had the most gorgeous tree at our place and it is still up :)

With the non-existing Christmas tree comes the “no presents” rule. But do not worry: I got plenty of presents anyway: from my beloved boyfriend, my lovely sister, my boyfriend’s parents, and my grandparents. And my mom was so nice to pay my hairdresser which costs a small fortune as well. Now I look normal on the head again, lol.

So here we go with the first two presents (from my boyfriend). I actually got three but the third one is a gorgeous nail polish which I want to show you in a separate post.

The hat is from Peak Performance and I got it for an upcoming planned skiing trip to Sweden. I look quite cute with it (lol, saying that about myself) – especially with  the “bommel” on top of the hat. The headphones are from Marshall and are according to Christoffer really good in quality. And they are (as far as I can tell). I love that they are modern but still retro and somewhat girlish (white and golden details). How do you like those two presents?

New Brushes – Kosmetik Kosmo

After watching Reni in this video and seeing how she manages to apply a great smokey eye with the help of only one great brush I decided to give those brushes a chance as well and ordered them home to Germany (Reni is one of the people behind “Frag die Gurus” – you should check it out). The brushes are from Kosmetik Kosmo and also available on their website. As the brushes are quite cheap considering to what you would have to pay for a MAC brush I went for a few different ones. I did not try them all (except the one in the video – but that one I already LOVE big time) but I will make another review for you guys in a couple of weeks time when I had more time to test them.

And here we go with the brushes:

From right to left: 1. Puder Paula, 2. Rouge Rosi, 3. Lidschatten Lisl, 4. Lidschatten Lydia, 5. Präzisions Pia

As you can see I got quite a few different brushes. I got powder brush, a blush brush, two eye shadow brushes, and my already beloved “precision” brush which makes a smokey eye so easy. I tried it out on Christmas and I think it looked GREAT!
