Happy Halloween

Today is the night of All Hallow’s Eve which is being celebrated big time all over the US but can be more and more found in Germany, Denmark, and all over the rest of Europe.

Halloween events start as early as September and while in Florida we could see traces of Halloween all over. The supermarkets had stocked up on Halloween candy, houses were decorated, and there were signs for pumpkin patches all over.

As we stayed one week in a house in Cape Coral we took the chance to also celebrate a little bit of Halloween and bought a pumpkin right on our first day. It made to house much more home. Thankfully Christoffer helped with carving it because I do not like the pumpkin smell and taste.

I am still a little sick and lying in bed while writing this post. Good thing I brought with me some typical American food things, including my Halloween Oreo’s :) Happy Halloween everyone!

Chanel Spring/Summer 2012

As I was curious when I can expect new great nail polishes from Chanel I started googling it a bit and this is what I found:

Those three pretties are available from the beginning of next year one. I will let you know when exactly. I love all three of them as they are quite different and I do not have a raspberry pink or a light peachy one (I was tempted to buy Orange Fizz or Miami Peach but resisted – no I know why). I also do not have such a nice strong but still light (does that make sense?) pink like May. So yes, all three of them will become mine if I can get my hands on them.

On the Spring/Summer show the models were also wearing a white polish which was specifically created for that show. Now Chanel announced that the color will come out after all for the public to buy. The color’s name is Attraction and will be available in May 2012.

Any of those colors of your liking?

Key West’s OOTD

The dress code on Key West is rather low key so I tried to keep it simple and did not fuzz too much about my outfit. The skirt was great as it became a tad bit chilly after the sun went down. Hope you like it!

skirt – Monki / t-shirt – H&M / shoes – Havanna Shoes / bag – Longchamp

Key West

Key West is one of my favorite places in Florida. It is the gay capital of the States and there are a lot of different people (and personalities) running around. It also has the charm of a small town as you can walk to all the bars and restaurants if your hotel is not too far out of town.

We therefore choose a little Bed & Breakfast close to the city center. It is called “Pearl’s” and you can easily find it when you google it together with the term “Key West”. We had a cozy room on the 3rd floor with a great view over Key West and enjoyed every minute on that lovely island.

As we had stopped at several State Recreation parks on the way down to Key West were we did lots of snorkeling we were pretty beat the first night and did not do too much. The $3 drinks at the pool bar in the late afternoon also helped to make us rather tired ;) But on our 2nd night we of course went out and had a lovely night around Duval Street.

First we walked to the Southernmost Point which was right around the corner from our hotel. I have been there many times before but I always love to come back and take some corny tourist pictures. Afterwards we walked down Duval Street all the way down to Mallory Square were we watched lots of street artists. After that we went to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe including some great Pink Breast Cancer Awareness drinks. After eating we slowly walked back to our hotel but stopped at several places for Frozen Yoghurt, Key Lime Pie, and watching puppies.

Key West is always worth a visit!

Florida 2011 – A Quick Overview

Hey lovelies,

I am back! After two great weeks in sunny and warm Florida we landed back in Copenhagen yesterday evening. And I already hate the weather. It is so cold, rainy, and foggy here at the moment.

I am currently going through all the pictures we took and collected the best ones in this post to give you a little overview of all the great things we did and saw. I will split the rest up in more detailed posts over the next couple of weeks. Yes, weeks, I have some other ideas for great posts (doing something special this Sunday) and do not want to bore you too much with vacation posts so I am going to split them up and mix with other posts I am thinking of.

Cannot wait to give you something great to read and look at over the next couple of weeks!

Love, S.
