Walk In The Forest

Yesterday we took the dog for a walk in the forest. The weather was so nice and the temperatures high enough to wear shorts and t-shirt even in Denmark. I loved the forest and we decided to maybe have our last IMECO event for this semester there. Something to eat, beers, a nice fire… Cooozy!

On the last picture you can see me freaking out about all the ants everywhere. There were sooo many of them crawling around. You could not stop once without them crawling all over you. At some point I felt them everywhere :)

Beachwear

As mentioned yesterday I might get closer to see the ocean and a beach again which are actually warm enough to wear a bathing suit and/or bikini at. So as I did not look for any beachwear at all this year (because I thought I just do not need anything new) I am suddenly in desperate need of something new.

I love the frills on the sides as that is something which is me. I also love the pattern a lot and also the cut-outs in general. I am just not sure if I am too happy about how it is cut around the bellybutton.

I am usually a bikini girl, mainly because I think you just get a better tan. I also do not switch bikini styles within a season, because that might leave weird marks on my skin. So I try to get at least two different kind of bikinis which have approx. the same cut..I tend to tan pretty easily if I manage to get sun at the exact same spots for 2-3 days. But if I would wear different things every day I stay rather white :(

Colorblock is all I can say - this fits perfectly into everyone's closet at the moment. Unfortunately I am missing the cut-outs here and I would like to have straps - especially on a bathing suit.

Last season instead of bikinis a lot of bathing suits popped up on the fashion shows and this coming summer season it continues. I browsed the web and found some amazing pieces I just cannot decide which one to get.

Last but not least this would be my first choice. I like the mix of stripes and flowers in the pattern and the cut-outs are just perfect to make the bathing suit look not too boring. It has straps, not only on the top, but I like the little details on the bottom part as well.

What do you think is most Sarah?

Vacation Is On The Go

Spring made it to Denmark (okay, Danes think it is spring as soon as the temperatures go double-digit) and summer is just around the corner. As I just recently found a new job, see here, I did not plan any kind of vacation for the upcoming year yet.

Bahia Honda State Park - Florida (on the way to Key West)

Fort Zachary Taylor State Park - Key West - Florida

Of course I have to (and want to) visit my parents and grandparents in Bonn at some point and as ticket prices were still rather cheap I took the chance and booked flights from the 29th of July to the 3rd of August. The time will be perfect as it is right after my summer school is over, I can still work my usual hours without having to cut back, and it is before Orientation Week for the new freshman starts (if I even get chosen as a tutor – but I better keep the days free just in case). We will have four full days and the rest of Wednesday before the return flight leaves – which will give us enough time to show Christoffer more of the city, do some cheap German shopping, and see plenty of friends and family.

Southernmost Point Of The USA - Key West - Florda

Thunderbird Beach Resort - Treasure Island - Florida

I did not make any plans for vacation – until now. As you all know by now I love the States after having lived there for a while and whenever it is possible (time-wise and money-wise) I go back there. The last time has been in September of 2009 and I feel the urge to leave for the US again asap. Now I talked with the boyfriend and he also likes the idea of going to Florida for a few days. Fall vacation this year will be earlier than last year and we have a week off in the middle of October (last year it was a month later). We are now thinking about taking a few more days off before and after that week so that we will have something between 10-14 days. We already found some cheap flights but will keep on checking the internet for even cheaper offers.

Any advice where to look for cheap tickets?

Free As A Butterfly

As I am working today and tomorrow I do not have the time (and the will – after work I just want to get home) to go into the city afterwards. The weather is also way too nice to spend it inside of stores and I would rather prefer and sit outside eating ice cream or drinking a vanilla latte.

That is what I was doing today: sitting on my balcony, coffee in hand, laptop close. And still doing the shopping: online. Matching to the beautiful weather outside I found those three outstanding pieces at Zara. It is all about butterflies and big prints with summerly patterns.

The piece on the first picture is my favorite. I like that it is black but still an absolute summer jacket. Secondly I like that it is not just a jacket, but more like an Japanese Kimono – which makes it even more special. Unfortunately it is quite expensive for being such a special thing so I will see how it looks on me in person.

I also really like the second shirt as it is made out of some really nice silky material, which makes it perfect for dressing up a bit more, i.e. the office. I just wish she shirt would be black and not white.

I will try to find the things in the store to try them on. I was planning on going into the city on Wednesday after school anyway as a new shoe store has opened which I of course have to check out. So stay tuned to see if I found something.
