I made it back from London in one piece, even with all the snow storms going on all over Europe. At the time when this post comes online I am (hopefully) already back in the air, on my way to Germany.
London has so many offerings when it comes to shopping and beauty – I just love if you have all the different brands available, which you can also find on blogs and on YouTube. Heaven for a shopaholic like me
As it was my birthday after all (and because I just do not come to London too often – it took me 17 1/2 years to come back there) I definitely splurged on cosmetics a little bit (and underwear, which will never ever be part of this blog or any YouTube videos, lol)…
I will make separate blog posts about many of the different products I bought – I think especially the Burberry items, but also Revlon, the concealers and the Laura Mercier Brightening Powder will be interesting for you guys. So check back regularly for updates.

And here is your weekly does of Instagram pictures (follow me under @OfficialSarah):
First of all a few London pictures. This is me in front of Tower Bridge:
At Heathrow airport:
St. Paul’s Cathedral:
The Shard as seen from the Millenium Bridge:
Amazing London Skyline:
Buckingham Palace. The queen was home:
Yes, we did some shopping. I treated myself to an iPad cover (no, I really did not have one before, promise!):
Two of the four Nivea lip butters (only got those two though):
And some Diptyque:
Now some food impressions. Lunch at Wagamama at Heathrow Airport. Always wanted to go to one (even though we have one in Copenhagen):
The next couple of days we are spending in London for my birthday (it is official: I am not in my 20s anymore). For me any kind of vacation includes lots of planning and for a weekend trip (2-4 days) even more – after all you do not want to bring your whole closet (or makeup supply) for such an occasion.
I therefore have a little box at home where I collect mini-bottles of my favorite beauty products in order to not having to bring all of my full-size products. I thought it would be interesting for you to see what I take with me when travelling:
This is it for my daily beauty routine when I go traveling. As you can see there are still some full-size products included. I have for example also some little pots I could but my face lotion inside and I have some travel size samples from Clinique I could use instead.
However my face lotion is almost empty anyway so why exchange that, right? I am checking in a suitcase anyway so no need for going 50ml only. And I also would probably cut down on hair products should I only be able to take a carry on.
What do you like to take travelling and are you refilling or do you buy mini sizes?
Sick and tired of carrying around my MacBook when going only on mini-vacations (like next weekend to London) I finally invested in this Camera Connection Kit from Apple and at the same time downloaded the WordPress app from Apple. Now all I need for blogging is my camera, the iPad, and the kit, yeah.
To try it out right away this is my first post from the iPad. Typing long texts is still a pain without an external keyboard but I strongly think that such a keyboard defeats the usage of an iPad.
The kit itself comes with two different adapters, both which can be plugged into the iPad or any other apple devices, which still have the old plug (the same set is available for the new plug as well). One adapter fits the SD card from the camera and the other one fits an USB cable, so that you can connect it directly to the camera. As I don’t feel like carrying around an additional cable I will mainly stick to the SD card adapter when traveling.
I think for being able to back up your pictures while traveling (there can always happen something to the SD card – happened to me before) this is great. Also for the bloggers among us blogging on-the-go with the WordPress app and decent pictures from your camera is a plus.
I love my new little gadget and am already happy about how much lighter my bag will be next weekend
Like you could see from my previous post I did not take too many pictures. I just did not feel like luggin around the big camera all the time and my parents and especially sister did not feel like being photographed all the time. And besides… in a shopping mall I did not really have use for a camera as my focus was on different objects (word catch, lol)…
Anyhow – I did however manage to take around 120 pictures with my phone, most of them I had posted on Instagram before. I put the best ones together for you so enjoy.
