New Arm Candy

I am not the biggest jewelry wearer and I do not even put on my watch every day, even though I really love it. Recently however I could not help to notice the “arm candy” trend everywhere and I have to say – I really like it (I used to wear a bunch of bracelets when I was younger after all).

So I used the trip to the States to stock up on a few cute bracelets and came home with some real gems. But see for yourself…

The bracelet on the last picture and the pinkish pearls are from Forever21. The pearls I like to just add to whatever I am wearing on my arm that day anyway, kind of like a “filler” to make it seem like I am wearing more. And the bracelet on the last picture just caught my eye and I love that it is so wide and also the color combination.

The delicate pearl bracelet is a present from my mom. We got it at a store on the pier in Madeira Beach (John’s Pass) and both my sister and I really like it right away. My sister has a similar one, though her pearls are mother-of-pearl-colored only.

The turquoise bracelet is from the very same store and I thought the color just fitted perfectly into the color range of all my other bracelets I bought in Florida. I also like that it can be worn to pretty much every outfit (if it fits in color) no matter if it is dressed up or dressed down.

Last but not least I appreciate how all bracelets fit so well together with my Michael Kors watch – no matter if I just wear one or all of them.

Florida via Instagram

Like you could see from my previous post I did not take too many pictures. I just did not feel like luggin around the big camera all the time and my parents and especially sister did not feel like being photographed all the time. And besides… in a shopping mall I did not really have use for a camera as my focus was on different objects (word catch, lol)…

Anyhow – I did however manage to take around 120 pictures with my phone, most of them I had posted on Instagram before. I put the best ones together for you so enjoy.

New In – Fall in the Closet

In need of some warmer clothes for the fall I dropped into Zara and H&M on my way after school. Over the last couple of months Zara become one of my favorites stores and is now probably ranking higher than Asos, where I used to order from a lot before. H&M on the other hand I have been avoiding for most of this year, both in the collections area and in the basics – I just did not find anything there anymore.

This has changed now. A couple of weeks ago I bought I gorgeous mini skirt with lots of colorful little sequins (separate blog post will hopefully follow) and today I finally found a few pieces again. And I did not even spend 100 Euro, which I think is pretty amazing for the amount of things I got.

Above you can see a sweatshirt and a pair of slippers I got from Zara. The shirt keeps warm but is still made of a very delicate material, which makes it look more dressed up than usual. I love the details on the shoulders. And I finally got another pair of slippers – in black in time for the fall. I hope it stays warm a bit longer so that I can actually put them to good use.

The blouse is sleeveless and rather widely cut. And overly long. That is why I did not hesitate to grab the last one even though it was in 34. With that kind of cut one size difference does not matter too much. And how much of a dream is that mint sweater? I saw it and I had to had it. And it is soooo soft. Absolutely gorgeous.

Black fits all the time. The “color” (yes, I do know that black and white are not colors but what else to call them?) black is quite present in Copenhagen and a lot of girls wear black only (almost).

I love the little detail of the sweater being longer in the back. Makes it more special and I prefer it that anyway. Double plus.

I also got those two shirts, which in my opinion look lovely together though I will not wear them together (due to how they are cut). The white top is a bit longer than normal tops, wider in cut, and the top is sheer (loving it and it does not always have to be lace). And how awesome is the color of the sweater? I could not resist but put it on today right away after I bought it. It also has a cool sloughy fit and will probably soon turn to one of my favorites this fall/winter :)

So how do you like those little fashion updates? Yeah or neah? Outfit posts, show posts, what-I-plan-on-wearing-tomorrow posts? Tell me and your wishes will be my command.

Love, S.

Kiehl’s Oil-Free Range

Vicky recently presented one of Kiehl’s new products on her blog, the ultra facial oil-free lotion. The other day I ran by our Kiehl’s counter by pure accident as I was looking at the counter next to it (it used to be an Origins one, and they are leaving the store and a lot of things were heavily discounted).

But when walking by the Kiehl’s counter I could not help put notice the display for the new oil-free range, including the above mentioned product. My skin has been way better lately and the allergy attacks calmed down a bit. So now I only get allergies about once every 1-2 weeks but if I get it my face is red for quite a while. Otherwise I am back to the almost perfect skin I was used to 1,5 years ago :) I would say it is even better.

So now I am finally free to try out a bit more when it comes to cleansing and lotions etc. As I am about to run out of my Liz Earle cleanser (which I liked but will not repurchase so soon – review coming up soon) I was looking for something else and thought this oil-free cleanser sounded interesting. And after reading Vicky’s description of the lotion I was already hooked on that one.

The line comes with a total of four products, and besides the cleanser and the lotion they also have a toner (I did not go for that one as I am happy with my Clinique one but if I like the other products, who knows…) and another gel cream, also for the face.

Due to my allergies I had to use lots of highly moisturizing products for the last couple of months but I am really looking forward to trying something oil-free again. A more detailed review will follow in a few weeks.

I was lucky to get a 10% foreign visitor discount and also got a little present, which consisted of two of their famous lip balms and another face lotion in a trial size (good for travelling).

Love, S.
